Exit Interviews for the 2000-2001 MBRS-RISE Program
Activity II Student Participants

Graduate and Undergraduate students who participated in MBRS-RISE Activity II were interviewed by the Activity Coordinator and Program Director on June 19 and 21, 2001. This activity was taped in video format. The students provided information on their experiences and concerns regarding research and mentorship. Graduate students indicated that they needed guidance on manuscript and fellowship application preparation. All the students indicated that the UPR-MSC purchasing process needs to be speeded up. All the Undergraduate students enjoyed the research experiences and wish to participate in a poster presentation while in the MBRS-RISE Program, ideally in national meetings or during the yearly UPR MSC Research Forum. This recommendation will be implemented during the current funding period.
