MBRS RISE 2008 Summer Student visit the Medical Sciences Campus Research Facilities

Summer Students visiting the Institute of Neurobiology, Old San Juan

The MBRS-RISE undergraduate summer students visited the Institute of Neurobiology in Old San Juan on June 2008 as part of a series of visits to the Medical Sciences Campus research facilities. At the institute the students were given a presentation by Dr. Mark Miller, Director, and visited the following laboratories: Molecular Neurobiology, Dr. Conchita Zuazaga’s Lab, and Dr. Nitza Lugo’s Lab, where they received a 30 minute briefing on the research that is currently being performed.

The students also visited the Caribbean Primate Research Center facilities at Sabana Seca on June 13, 2008. During their visit students were shown all the research facilities by Dr. Janis González.
