MBRS RISE Summer Student visit the Medical Sciences Campus Research Facilities

The MBRS-RISE undergraduate summer students visited the Institute of Neurobiology in Old San Juan on July 18, 2004 as part of a series of visits to the Medical Sciences Campus research facilities. At the institute the students were given a presentation by Dr. Mark Miller, Director, and visited the Animal Facilities as well as the following laboratories: Molecular Neurobiology, Dr. Mark Miller’s Lab, Dr. Conchita Zuazaga’s Lab, and Dr. Nitza Lugo’s Lab, where they received a 15 minute briefing on the research that is currently being performed.

The students also visited the Caribbean Primate Research Center facilities at Sabana Seca on July 25, 2004. During their visit students were shown all the research facilities by Dr. Janis González, Director (Large Group Corrals, Individual Holding Facilities, Treatment Areas, Necropsy and Laboratories)
